Machines can never be as intelligent as human beings,
although it is just a matter of perspective! By the term intelligence, if you
refers only the modelling of human behavior [weak AI],it might b possible with the help of a large computational power. But if u want to built the real
intelligence [strong AI], the task is going to b tough.
Human are not born with the capability to speak any language .they learn it.
In 1980, John Searle introduced a famous thought experiment
called Chinese room experiment. He argued that intelligence can never be
attained with the blind manipulation of symbols, as suggested by "The
physical symbol system hypothesis"[by Newell and Simon, 1976].The thought
experiment is explained bellow.
"Consider an 'intelligent machine”, which answers to
questions asked in Chinese, back in Chinese. Then, given the algorithm of the
machine, one who doesn't speak Chinese can also answer the Chinese qns,
executing the algorithm line by line. But that don’t makes him know Chinese.
Like this, the "intelligent" machine was also just blindly
manipulating the code, just like the latter did."
It’s true they can never be as intelligent as me and you But
they can make a logical choice with the highest probability count along with
current perceive and future reference. The large computational power makes them
analyse a problem faster and accurate. And real AI calls for real time system
that means Time constraints and they have the power
Knowing Chinese and speaking Chinese are two different things.
Knowing is a in-depth knowledge about a language, like all the slangs, polite/impolite
words whereas speaking is like using jumble of words you know to express yourself.
Language as a mode of communication can't be decisive among
Intelligent/Stupidity.
Machines can never
learn and understand any language they merely can imitate us But nowadays,
studies on imitating the human brain in the neuron level are going on(Advanced
Neural N/W)But, if we need to really implement a real AI system, we first need
to look into ourselves, to our brain. We need to understand what the real
ingredients of our intelligence are, and how they work.
See the ingredients or sources of intelligence are different
for different peoples that’s how you interpret them. The data for example. this
post is a data for you (a source of intelligence) you brain is doing that for
you.Interpreting. But for others.I’ts just another post or bunch of letters.
Talking of A.I .it cannot be made .it has to form. The basic
